Welcome to my world! Please stop in and look around. Shown are a small sample of the gazillions of photos I have taken over the last several years. My work currently centers on images for magazines, websites and annual reports. That includes Alumni magazines, work for trade associations, corporations as well as healthcare and political photography.

I cut my teeth on newspaper and magazine work and have had photos published in every major magazine, from USA today to Vanity Fair and most everything in between. In the 20+ years that I've been taking pictures as a livelihood, I have had a broad range of great experiences with the famous and not so famous. In the process I have been up close and personal with Hosne Mubarak, George Clooney, Lady Thatcher and Meryl Streep as well as street children in Moputo and Bucharest.

I have had assignments in some remote corners of the world like Iwo Jima, Mongolia and Mozambique. But some of my favorite moments have come when an alumni magazine calls me to go behind the scenes at the national zoo to photograph one of their own: or I hear gut wrenching testimony from a pediatrician in a healthcare hearing.

Every time I go out on an assignment it is with the goal making great photos, though often the icing on the cake is hearing the subject's story and getting to know them, even just a little bit.

Going out on a shoot for a technology publication or trade association gives me access to another piece of the world that I would never have seen, had I not become a photojournalist.

I live and work in the DC MidAtlanic region. I have experience all over the USA and many parts of the world. I have a Capital Hill Press pass and my passport is always up to date.

I work hard to be as effective as possible for my clients. They are the boss. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to do what I do. Oh yea, and I play the mandolin and upright bass!
